Some Forgotten Images

So, last night I was sitting down to work on some more card sets. I have this really fun set I was going to make using some digital images from Pink Petticoat. They have some of the cutest images. Well I never made the set I was going to (I promise I will this weekend) because I found some I forgot I had. Love when this happens. And because the images were for Valentine's Day I just had to make them.

These are just a couple of the images from the set. I just printed them out and colored them with my Copic markers. Are they like super cute or what? The sentiments are from PTI's Love Birds and Honey Bee sets.

Because the Copics bleed through I couldn't do a single layer card. I wanted to keep the card really simple so I just mounted it on the white card base with my pop dots.
Well, hope you like these as much as I do. Have a wonderful blessed day and I'll see you soon.

Starting Early

The other day a co-worker asked me if I would be interested in doing a craft show with her later in the year. One of our local high schools does one each year to raise money for the senior all night party. This thing is so big and pretty much all of town goes to it. So, I'm taking the big step and giving it a try. I've always done individual cards and thought that sets would be good for something like this.

Because I'm not the fastest stamper in the west, I thought I would get a start on them right away. I asked the great group over at the PTI forum for some tips and they were very helpful...thanks..:)

Here is one of the sets I came up with.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back soon with more.

A CAS Thank You

I've wanted this stamp set from PTI for a long time. When they came out with the dies I couldn't resist it any longer.

I usually do nice straight lines when adding the boarder but thought I would try something a little different. I think it turned out pretty cute myself. Nothing like a little freehand.

And of course the flower is attached with my favorite...pop dots!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.

I'm back...

Hello all my blog friends. Sorry I've been MIA. Over the last month or so I seem to have lost my Mojo and my desire to even look at my craft area. I think I did so much at Christmas that I just got burnt out and needed a break. I finally sat down at my craft area a few days ago and actually started creating again....and it felt really good.

My post today isn't anything I've made in the last few days...but a gift that I made my Dad for Christmas. Let me give you a little background first. My Dad is a "retired" cabinet maker...who can't seem to stay out of the shop. He has always been amazing with wood and carving. Well he decided to carve faces in acorns. I'm no real sure what prompted this..but whatever makes him happy and keeps him busy. So when PTI came out with their Autumn Acorns set he came right to my mind. Then while Christmas shopping my Daughter and we found this super cute acorn cookie cutter...again..Dad came right to my mind. Combine the two and this is what I came up with.

Here are some of Dad's carvings.

And here is the gift I made him. I had so much fun putting this together for him.

This is the jar with the lid and matching tag.

And here it is filled with acorn sugar cookies!

Everyone got a huge kick out of it. I was at the house last week and he still has cookies left..haha. They would have been long gone in my house.

Well thanks for stopping by and I promise I'll be back soon.
