The Card Concept #8

You know the saying..April showers bring May flowers? Well as much rain as we've been having, we should have more flowers than we know what to do with. I know they always say we need the rain, but I'm ready for the sun. This week's theme at The Card Concept just happens to be umbrellas.

Here is my card:

I wanted to show you that you can still create a CAS card even if you stamp a background pattern. By keeping the pattern to one side of the card this left me my white space. To pull it all together I stamped the same pattern on my umbrella.

This week's challenge:

I hope you can join us this week. I always look forward to seeing your creations.

Deanna Jean

While out in blog land I found this amazing digi stamp company called Sassy Cheryl's. Oh my gosh....she has got the cutest digital stamps I've seen. I thought I would give one a try and see if I enjoyed coloring it. Well, after spending a few hours playing with the one, I had to back for more. She even has a challenge blog. I created a card to play along with their "Just Foolin Around" challenge.

Practicing My Coloring

Hi friends. I got a chance to do some coloring yesterday and thought I would share the card I made with you.

This is a digital image I found on the internet. I'm not sure where I got it..sorry. Before I started coloring I looked up images of dogwoods to see what color they are. I had no idea they came in so many different colors. I had so much fun coloring this and I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the rest of your day is blessed.

The Card Concept #7

We had another amazing challenge the last couple of weeks at The Card Challenge. All of your creations were just amazing. It's time for a new challenge and this time the theme is butterflies.

Here is my card.

To keep my card CAS I selected a trio of colors and simply stamped them across the card. To finish it off I added a large sentiment. How quick and easy is that? Think of all the beautiful color combos you could do.

I sure hope you can join us this week. I always look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

The Card Concept #6

Last week was another amazing week at The Card Concept. All of you are rocking these challenges! I love seeing all of the different styles in one place. For this week's challenge you are to make a birthday card. Be sure to check out Seize The Birthday too, where their theme is always about birthdays:)

Here is my card:

To keep with my CAS style I created my focal point to one side of my card. By doing this it leaves me all of that beautiful white space I love so much.  After I stamped my flowers I added  just a touch of color using Copic markers. I finished it off with a big sentiment.

This week's challenge:

I hope you can join us this week. I can't wait to see some amazing birthday cards!

Color Throwdown #283

Wow, where did this weekend go? We had a couple of bright and beautiful days here in Southern Oregon. It's so nice to open the windows and enjoy the warmth.  I got up early this morning and spend some time crafting while the hubby was sleeping. I found this beautiful color challenge at Color Throwdown and thought I would play along.

Here is my card:

I just got this digital image from Bugaboo last night and couldn't wait to color it up. The colors in the challenge were perfect. I'm still learning  how to use my Copic markers. I had a hard time with the gray because I only have two colors. But all in all I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

DOT Sale!!

That's right, I'm having a Dot sale! I've lowered the price per bag from $5.00 to $3.00! Some of you may be asking me what a Dot is. Dots are these amazing thin circles that have a protective paper covering both sides. When you remove the paper they are sticky..on both sides. They are perfect for adding just a touch of deminsion to your cards or scrapbook pages.

They are bagged by weight and you get approximitly 1000 dots per bag. Each bag has a variety of sizes. The protective paper is in several different colors, but the dots are the same.

Here you can see the sizes of the Dots compaired to a dime. They can also be cut. I like to cut mine in half so I have a flat edge on one side.

In this picture I have attached the square on the left with the foam tape that everyone is using. On the right I have attached the square with Dots. You can see that they give you just a touch of dimension. I love using the foam tape and the Dots together on my cards

Trust me when I say you will love these! To purchase them just go to the link on the right side of my blog. You can buy one, two or three bags at a time. I am only able to ship within the US.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean
